Park Hyatt Shanghai

There are several coffee shops attached to the hotel, with a good selection of food and coffee. It's less than a mile from the end of the Bund sightseeing tunnel and about a block from the big bus tour stop. In the heart of the financial district, the hotel is clean, with great service and friendly staff. Rooms are large and have plenty of amenities, including a wet room for the shower.

Yuexuan restaurant is very tasty and is actually why we keep returning to this hotel. The Diplomatic Suite on the 88th floor was spacious and comfortable; for a better view, I'd suggest booking a room on the 85th floor. The location is very convenient, and service was good overall, with most staff friendly. Check-in was the weak spot. A male front desk staff member whose name I forgot wasn't very professional, and the long guest queue was quite unacceptable for a Park Hyatt. Apart from that, service throughout the stay was great.

At breakfast, MJ and Roche were attentive and friendly, making the experience very pleasant. I appreciate their warm, professional service. Concierge staff Luna Lin and Amelia Shen were also wonderful. I had a really bad cough, and they helped me order some medicine for relief. I'm grateful for their kindness and support.

Yuexuan's Shanghai cuisine is a must-visit. The dishes, especially the signature creations, were delicious and executed perfectly. Billy, the manager, and the whole service team took excellent care of us. For the quality, atmosphere, and sweeping views from the 87th floor, the meal prices felt extremely fair. The Diplomatic Suite is marvellous, with functional space, an airy feel, and an impressive six-metre ceiling. Housekeeping kept every detail flawless. I would encourage the engineering team to improve connectivity with the high-end music systems. The in-room Nespresso machine is high-end but still an early version, and the cupboard it's in could be easier to use.
