The shuttle was packed, with no room for luggage or any real concern for comfort. The hotel is also in an inconvenient area, far from the airport and difficult to get to. This was the worst hotel stay I've ever had. The room was filthy and neglected, with hairs in the sink and bugs crawling on the floor. It was unbearably noisy at night. Staff spoke no English and were completely unhelpful and unprofessional, leaving me frustrated and unwelcome the whole time. I'd never recommend Shijian Huan Hotel in Shanghai. Total waste of money, and I don't think a place like this should be allowed to operate.

There are lots of grocery shops and markets nearby, so it was easy to find food. The hotel is very old, and I could only sleep for maybe 2-3 hours. People in China get up and start work very early.

The low price is a plus, and the airport is about a 20-minute drive away. A shuttle runs hourly from 4 a.m. to 12 p.m. The downside is that the hotel is old.

It looks nothing like the photos, and the room has a bad smell. The Wi-Fi doesn't work either. Several people were smoking in the non-smoking lobby, but the front desk staff didn't say anything.
