Radisson Blu Forest Manor Shanghai Hongqiao

The food at the level 2 restaurant was excellent. The air conditioning is fixed at 23 degrees Celsius, which suited me, and the hotel has a big gym and indoor and outdoor swimming pools. You need a swimming cap for the indoor pool, as at other hotels in China. Breakfast has options that suit Chinese tastes, though it may not suit international palates as well. The hotel is far from the train station and exhibition centre, and there isn't much food or in the way of amenities nearby.

The hotel is huge, and there are lots of room types, including ones with a small balcony. Ask for a room closer to the lift if you can, since my walk to the nearest one took three minutes. The location was good and service was nice. I had several Taobao parcels, and the staff kindly helped track them when I gave them the airway bill. Breakfast had plenty of choices, though the taste was only decent.

My room stayed at 27-28 degrees the whole time. They wouldn't turn on the air conditioning even when I asked, and there was no effort to resolve it. I couldn't sleep for three nights because it was too hot.

Thanks to Mr.Troy from room services for responding so quickly when I asked for help with my sick brother. Mr. Troy was understanding and did his best to help my brother feel better. I really appreciate it.
