Ramada by Wyndham Shanghai Pudong

The airport shuttle was extremely prompt, and the staff were very friendly. Since it was cheap, I'd stay here again for a PVG layover, though not for a holiday. The facilities are basic and the hotel staff don't speak English. The restaurant was closed, so I ordered food in. There are a few places nearby, but I was too tired to go out.

The receptionists were friendly, and check-in and arranging what I needed were easy. They even packed a simple breakfast for me to take away, since breakfast runs from 6:30 to 10 a.m. There are places to eat just across the street, with Chinese food as well as the usual Western options. The room was adequate, if a bit dated. You can ask reception to arrange a free airport pickup or book a ride to the airport in advance.

The exterior looks nice, and it's close to Pudong airport and Shanghai Disneyland, with a free shuttle to both. Inside, the walls are thin, the equipment is old, the shower pressure is weak, and there isn't a fridge in the room. It might do if you only need somewhere to sleep before moving on, but I wouldn't recommend it for a vacation.

The room looked clean and was good, but the TV and safe didn't work. I could hear kids crying and people talking in the next room, along with a lot of noise from outside, so it wasn't a good place to rest. It's also a little far from the airport, despite being presented as an airport hotel.
