Regent Shanghai On The Bund

From the private balcony of my River View room, I watched the lights change at 6 PM. That was pure magic. The room had an unusual layout, with the bathtub behind the living area, so you could soak while taking in the view. The non-alcoholic minibar was complimentary, and the free laundry and pressing were great extras. The setting on the corner of the Bund gives you panoramic views of the historic buildings and the Lujiazui skyline. I’ve rarely visited a more beautiful hotel. The design is posh and upscale, with every detail carefully handled. Staff were exceptionally warm and attentive. Breakfast on the terrace at Harmony Restaurant is a must for the Pudong view, and Conde Terrace has what may be Shanghai’s most viral-worthy unobstructed panoramic bar view. Flawless from start to finish.

The bar was lively, with a duo playing recent Western pop songs, and there was plenty of seating. We came to the patio for drinks and a view of the Shanghai skyline, and it delivered. Walking through the lobby gave me Miami South Beach hotel vibes, with beautiful modern decor. The bathrooms were clean. I’d recommend checking it out.

A really lovely hotel by the north side of the Bund. The staff were friendly, spoke fluent English, and gave us a tour of the room. Breakfast had lots of variety and was delicious. I’ll be back!

We had a really good experience at the Regent. The staff were welcoming and helpful, and our room had a stunning view of the Pudong skyline and the Bund.
