I only needed somewhere to rest during a 16-hour transit, and the location worked perfectly for me. It's between the Metro station building and the Meglav station building, next to a small community center with lots of restaurants. Finding the hotel was a bit of a lucky break. I had read Yoko's earlier review and followed the directions, so thanks, Yoko! There's no English sign with the hotel name. Look for the black building marked 'Autoongo', go inside, and take the elevator on the left up to the hotel. Then you'll find it, as in my photo.

Finding this place took some effort. It's quite far from where the address puts it on Google Maps. The first floor belongs to another hotel, and this one is on the fifth. Once there, the location is very convenient, with easy access to both the linear motor station and the subway. The room had towels, toothbrushes, hairbrushes, and a hair dryer, all in working order, plus basic shampoo and body soap. The air conditioner and TV worked too. The sheets were clean, though the bed felt a little hard. I'd stay here again on another trip to Shanghai.

Getting around is convenient, but the surroundings are dirty and messy, and the sound insulation is poor. The pedestrian street outside is in bad shape too.

For a one-night stay, the location is great. It's almost directly connected to the station, which makes trips to either Pudong or Hongqiao convenient.

The Maglev ride to Shanghai Airport was fascinating, reaching 430 km/h.
