Shanghai Marriott Hotel Parkview

The staff were helpful and the service was good. We stayed six days as a family, using two rooms, and found them spacious and clean. More drinking water was available on request, and the hotel also provided the usual amenities. It’s convenient for food and shopping, with a large mall about 200 meters to the right and Shanghai Circus World metro station roughly 500 meters to the left. There’s a new building going up next door, so construction noise was audible at times.

The concierge was ready to help with things like tours, laundry, or transport to farther places, and did their best to sort things out. Staff throughout the hotel were attentive, polite, and very helpful. The location is handy for the train station and Nanjing East shopping street, with plenty of food nearby, including options at New world city. There’s also a Mei Tuan pickup cabinet just outside. I’d happily recommend this hotel.

The construction nearby is nearly finished, so the noise was bearable. I found the hotel good value, and breakfast was tasty, especially with the good coffee machine. Staff were helpful, and you can ask them for extra drinking water. For food and shopping, there are restaurants and factory outlets in B1 at the road’s right corner, plus a Familymart beside the office building on the left, though it closes at 22:00. The MRT is about 500 meters away, with Jiu Guang Mall near the station.

There’s a good range of food at breakfast, and the room had everything I needed and looked nice. Rates are fair, with shopping malls and lots of restaurants nearby. The construction next door is the downside: it can wake you around 5 a.m.
