The gym was good, and the rooms were spacious and pleasant. Breakfast was nice too, as you’d expect from a Marriott 5* hotel in the east. My main problem was the internet, which was very slow and made meetings difficult, especially for a business hotel. The location worked for me, but public transport is limited and there isn’t much to do at night, so I wouldn’t call it a great base for tourists.

I found it good value, with very clean, fancy rooms and an excellent breakfast for both quality and choice. The location suited me for the high tech industry south of the hotel and for getting to Pudong international airport. The Italian restaurant was only okay, though there’s a good range of restaurants right next door. I never saw the hotel bar open.

Getting back to Pudong airport was convenient, and the Bund is about half an hour away. I stayed three nights. The reception team were especially friendly and ready to help, and thanks as well to the housekeeping lady. I only took one buffet breakfast photo, of my favourite rice noodle, which tasted like authentic Canton rice noodle.

Everyone I met on site was friendly and considerate, and the lobby receptionists were kind and helpful. The room was modern, spacious, very clean, and quiet. I slept better here than anywhere I’d stayed in the previous three months. I’d stay again if I’m in this area.

The reception team were really helpful and arranged taxis for us whenever needed. Our room was large, breakfast was great, and housekeeping cleaned every day. Definitely recommend it.
