I hated staying here. My room was awful for the same price as the others: it was in a corridor right in front of the front desk, with light and noise all around. There was noise from the apartments upstairs too. I asked to move, but they just ignored me. A terrible experience.

I'm staying here for two weeks, and it's been better than I expected. The rooms are clean, the furniture is sturdy, and after upgrading my room I got a washing machine. The rooftop views over the neighborhood are incredible.

The location is nice, and the old street around it still has a lot of traditional old Shanghai character.

It's handy for getting to Shincheonji and the provisional government. The interior isn't all that great, haha.
