Yitel Premium (Shanghai Wujiaochang Metro Station)

This is a very local hotel, and during my week there I didn’t see any non-Chinese guests. The staff didn’t seem to understand English. It occupies a few floors in a commercial building, so the lifts can get crowded during office rush hours. The interior feels dated and the facilities are old. My TV didn’t work and the flush got stuck, although staff came promptly to fix things. The beds are firm, the shower is decent, and breakfast is acceptable. I asked how to adjust the room temperature and was told the system is centrally controlled. At this price it offers some value, but the “Premier” part really only applies to the location. It makes sense if you want to stay near Wujiaochang.
