The hotel itself was good, and the staff were supportive. I think it was in the two-star category, even though the internet booking listed it as three stars, but we had a good experience overall. The nearest subway station was about 2 km away, so we had to take taxis each time, which added to our costs. I don’t think there was a shopping area near the hotel. Breakfast could have offered more options for vegan guests.

It was only okay. On the first night, the bathroom drain wasn’t working properly, but after we switched rooms, everything was fine.

I stayed here for an exhibition at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre. The Expo Centre is about a 15-minute drive away, while Pudong Airport takes around 30 minutes. The room was reasonably spacious, though it had only a shower stall and no bathtub. The stall door didn’t fit well, so water leaked out, something I understand isn’t unusual in this country. The rate was reasonable, and breakfast on the 5th floor was tolerable for two nights. English and Japanese are hardly spoken, which makes things difficult for “foreigners” who don’t speak Chinese.
