The hotel has free self-service laundry, with a washer and dryer on Level 1, and oxygen generators in the room for an additional cost. Our room was decent, much like other Holiday Inn Express hotels: open wardrobe, open wash area, and a firm bed. There was also a machine to add moisture to the room and help prevent nosebleeds in the extremely dry weather. I was surprised to find a towel laid across the sofa. The hotel said it was there to cover a stain they couldn’t remove. Points for honesty, I guess.

The room was okay, but the breakfast selection was pathetic. The noodle station food wasn’t even warm, and the cold noodles and bread were stale and hard, like they’d been left out overnight.

The room was clean and had the basics, plus a humidifier and oxygen generator that made it more comfortable. The toilet was good and had a bidet. The hotel is clean and well located, but maintenance needs work: there was a big hole in the sofa and a loose light fitting. The front desk also needs better language skills beyond Mandarin. After the cleaners had been in, our room door wasn’t properly closed when we returned. Luckily, nothing had been stolen.

There are plenty of restaurants nearby, which was a plus. The rooms were wonderful and much better than I expected, and the staff were pleasant and very helpful. It felt far more upscale than I’d expect from the price and brand name. The place seems very new, and staying there was a pleasant surprise.

I was there in October 2024, and the staff were kind and did their best to help with my requests. English isn’t widely spoken, so having Google Translate or a similar app handy helps. It’s an easy taxi ride to the main attraction; I used Didi, which was convenient and fairly cheap. Breakfast could have had more variety and better quality, and the gym was disappointing. Still, it was a good stay overall.
