The room was large, clean, and decorated in a Tibetan style. Ms Rose looked after us so well, responding quickly, being helpful, and doing her best to keep us happy. She arranged a driver for a day trip, and he was kind and took good care of us throughout. I'd strongly recommend staying here on a future trip to Shangri-La.

Lugo, Rose's dog, was so friendly that he even wandered around town with me for a bit like a little tour guide. I had a comfortable stay at this charming inn in a quiet corner of the old town. Rose, the owner, is warm, knowledgeable, and fluent in English. I really enjoyed our engaging, informative conversation.

Rose was a great help, recommending places and restaurants, booking bus tickets and tours, and arranging a taxi to the train station. She speaks good English. The hotel is cozy and very close to the square. We were grateful for her help and had a lovely stay.

The atmosphere here is what stayed with us most. After a couple of days, we felt like we'd found a home away from home, in a beautiful historic Tibetan building that survived the fire, tucked into a quiet part of the old town. We spent a month traveling around China, and Rose's guest house was our favorite place to stay. She's incredibly kind and attentive, speaks perfect English, and knows northern Yunnan inside out. She helped us arrange trips to Yubeng and Tiger Leaping Gorge flawlessly, and we could leave our luggage with her while we were away. She also took care of our laundry, which was so convenient. Do yourselves a favor and stay at Timeless Inn. You won't regret it.
