The view was beautiful and peaceful both morning and night, and the room was clean, warm, and comfortable in Shangri-La’s cold weather. Having a laundry room guests could use was convenient too. The owner was especially kind and helpful. They picked us up at the station, helped with our luggage and amenities, and even helped me order delivery food. The whole stay felt welcoming and homey. I’d definitely recommend Shangri-La Yunbian View Homestay to visitors. I didn’t take many pictures, but it really is lovely there.

We were able to explore the old town easily from Shangri-La Yunbian View Homestay, with shops and sights just a walk through the alleys away. We chose a deluxe room and the temple looked beautiful at night. The place has a cozy, local feel, and the rooms were clean and updated, with comfortable beds, thick warm comforters, heating, and a shower with strong hot water. They also had bottled water and umbrellas to borrow. Getting there was easy too. The owners arranged a pickup at the train station, then switched us to a smaller car for the old town streets and helped with our luggage all the way. They welcomed us with fresh pears and apples. Since I didn’t have a Chinese phone number or apps, the owner even let us use her phone to order food and drinks, and we paid her back through Alipay. Such kind, thoughtful hospitality. I’d happily stay again.
