We found the Google Maps pin a little off, as mentioned by others. The owner was really helpful, including with renting a scooter to explore Napa Hai. The room was pretty cold, but the heating blanket was so cozy. We definitely recommend Yi's Hostel.

The Google listing is nowhere near the actual address, so be warned, and please fix it if you can. The place is right in the center of Shangri La old town. Our room was cozy and suited us fine, with a very hot, strong shower. Keep the bathroom window open for airflow. The manager was Tibetan, spoke fantastic English, and was really engaging to chat with. There are cute cats roaming around the property too.

The hosts helped arrange a hike to Abujicuo, which became the highlight of our trip, and gave us great activity recommendations. Their restaurant has an amazing selection of dishes. Run by a local family, this cozy place made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. It's right in the old town and an easy walk to the main square. The Google Maps location is wrong, as often happens in China, so follow the red pin from the screenshot.

Tenzin, the manager, speaks really good English and is a great person to chat with. He put everything he had into making our trip the best it could be. We stayed three wonderful nights in cozy rooms that felt very homey, and were welcomed so warmly.

I love this room so much, it's cold and clean. Love it, love it. The hostel is inside dukezong ancient town, and you can rent traditional costume right in front. It's very cheap!
