6/10
The rooms are quite spacious, and everything worked. The bathroom was worn down but still functional, which was a relief after problems I’ve had in newer hotels. The furniture and decor, though, are gaudy and very old-fashioned. The staff were kind and helpful, clearly doing their best with what they had. Breakfast was filling, but the buffet food was bland and flavorless. The hotel’s free WiFi was basically unusable. Many websites, including email and social media, wouldn’t open, though I had the same issue elsewhere. I also couldn’t use a VPN, so I couldn’t access my home-country, region-locked banking apps. VPN access for banking is standard practice these days, so a hotel needs to support it.

The room was clean, though a little noisy. For the low price, it was worth staying.
