Shantou Longhu Hotel

We slept well here. The room was bright, clean, spacious and cosy, with comfortable beds, a large TV and a roomy bathroom. The deep, long bathtub was especially cool. We stayed in the new annex, on level 8, facing the public square, so we could watch locals dancing in the evenings. This was the first hotel on our recent trip to Chaoshan and Xiamen. Room service did a good job cleaning and replenishing everything, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast had a satisfying range of international and local dishes, but the menu never changed. By the second day, it was already feeling like the same meal again. The smart TV took us a while to figure out without instructions. A programme list would help too, since we had to search through channels one at a time. There’s lots close by, within 200-300m: eateries, convenience stores, bakeries and supermarkets. Walk a little further and you’ll find a night street market with local street food, snacks and clothes. We enjoyed our stay.
