The worst hotel experience I've had. Checking in three rooms took staff 30 minutes, and when we got upstairs, two rooms were already occupied by other guests. In one, some women screamed at us. The last room smelled strongly of cigarettes and had cigarettes on the toilet counter. I went back to the lobby and asked the short-haired female staff member to check and reissue rooms, making sure they were empty. She didn't. She gave us two out of three rooms that were occupied again. On my second trip downstairs, I asked for new rooms and wanted someone to come up and check them with me, because I didn't want to be yelled at a third time over the hotel's mistake. A younger female staff member then took over and checked the rooms. One was vacant but had rubbish behind the curtains. They cleaned it, and we took that room; the other was empty and clean. Afterward, we saw the same staff member opening every room on our floor to see which ones were occupied. Why were they entering guests' rooms without permission, unless they were cleaning? They should have kept track somehow instead of issuing multiple keys for the same room to different guests in the first place. All they offered afterward was three plates of fruit, saying it was all they could do because it was what was left from breakfast. Thanks for the leftovers?
