There are three shopping malls close by, and lots of restaurants serving Chinese food. The hotel is nice to stay in, and there’s a complimentary washing machine on the 17th floor.

The rooms are large, the price is good for what you get, and the beds are relatively soft by Chinese standards. There’s free wired internet and a great rain shower, though no bathtub. The Chinese-style breakfast buffet tastes pretty good and has a wide selection. Reception was awful. Check-in and checkout both took ages. Guests who shouted and cut the queue seemed to get served first, leaving others waiting. Unfortunately, this seems common in China.

Once the weather got hot in April and May, the lack of air conditioning became a problem. The hotel has central AC but didn't want to switch it on, so they only ventilated the room. It was around 27°C inside, a bit too warm, and I had to shower before bed to get to sleep.
