Grand Hyatt Shenyang

I spent three nights at the Grand Hyatt Shenyang in September 2025 and really loved it. Just so you know, you take an elevator to the top-floor lobby, then switch to another one to get down to the guest rooms. The hotel feels luxurious, with large rooms, a big bathroom and excellent city views. My room faced south, and I loved watching the city lights from bed at night. There’s also a large fitness center, a spa and a gorgeous pool. The pool arrangements felt a little odd: the attendant saw my Western-style swimsuit and called the spa manager to check that it was a real swimsuit and not shorts. You need a swim cap, but they had some available for tourists like me. It felt like the attendant was keeping an eye on everyone, so no funny business. The ground floor connects to a huge luxury mall with high-end shops like Gucci, Prada and YSL, plus more common brands such as Adidas and Lululemon. There’s a food court, about a dozen restaurants and an ice rink there too. Across the street, a less luxurious mall has McDonalds, Lawson's and entertainment options like KTV. There’s a lot of mall space to explore nearby. The closest subway station is about a 12-14 minute walk, so keep that in mind.

The Grand Club lounge is one of the best parts of staying at Grand Hyatt Shenyang. Sibyl Wang (Wang Yutong), the Grand Club Assistant Manager (Grand Club Assistant Manager), makes it feel welcoming and relaxed, and she often anticipates what we need and shares thoughtful recommendations. During our visits, she has also helped with personal arrangements and special requests, always with warmth and care. Her professionalism and attention to detail have made each stay memorable for me and my family. She’s made the hotel feel like a second home, and we’re already looking forward to coming back. Thank you, Sibyl, for all your hard work and support.

The rooms are spacious and nicely equipped, and the hotel connects directly to what I think is Shenyang’s best shopping center. Breakfast can get a little hectic, which seems typical in Chinese cities outside the major ones. Still, I’d highly recommend the hotel.

Check-in here was the smoothest and most welcoming I’ve had at any hotel. I also got a room with a great view and complimentary breakfast. The location is excellent, and Shenyang is already one of my favorite cities in China. This trip looks set to make me like it even more...
