There was a strong cigarette smell in the meeting hall, and people were smoking in the hallway too. You need to specifically request a nonsmoking room or they may put you in a smoking one. If you can’t stand smoke, I wouldn’t stay here.

The third-floor swimming pool is nice and the water quality is good. The rooms are clean and tidy, and after I told the front desk that ours had no refrigerator, they moved us to one that did. The service was excellent. Lobby staff helped with our luggage, and Ms. Dong in housekeeping was very helpful. The location is handy for getting around and finding food. It’s opposite the West Square of Shenyang Railway Station, close to Shenyang Station on Metro Line 1, and near supermarkets, restaurants, Xin Hong Ji, and Wang Hou Yuan Dumpling Restaurant. We also recommend Minnan Town on Xinggong Street to our family. A few things could be improved: there are no self-service laundry or drying machines, and the bathroom clothes-drying setup would be more convenient above the bathtub. It would also help travelers flying to have a weighing scale in the room, as at Atour Hotel. Even with those gaps, it’s a good choice for visiting Shenyang.
