Bessie, the relationship manager in the lobby, really stood out. She speaks English very well, knows Shenyang inside out, and can point you in the right direction whatever you need. The hotel itself is right in central Shenyang, with a good price, good service, and a spacious king room. I highly recommend it if you're visiting the city, and Bessie is the person to ask for help during your stay.

The kids loved the duck themed room, and the little play corner gave us adults some time to do our own things. Service was great, and there's a Lawson and a Korean mart next to the lobby. The rooms do feel a bit dated, though, with some wooden fixtures coming apart, and there's no bidet in the toilet.

The location is the big plus: two metro stations are a short distance away, and Shenyang railway station is walkable. There are plenty of places to eat and malls nearby too. The hotel itself is old, but the room was spacious and had some modern amenities.

We had a lovely two night stay. The hotel is a little aged, but the staff's enthusiasm more than makes up for those minor shortcomings. Miss Bassie is a real gem and a definite asset to the hotel.

The location was the one good thing. My room smelled strongly of smoke, presumably from a previous guest, and I had to put up with it all night. The heater wouldn't let cold air in, so the room got warm and stuffy. Turning off the air con didn't bring any ventilation, which made sleeping really uncomfortable. The hotel also looks tired.
