The shower situation was the biggest problem for our group. We were on a high floor, the 20th or 21st, and when the hotel was busy, there was only cold water from 8-10:30 PM. They hadn’t warned us before check-in and just suggested showering later to avoid the peak. Four of the six people in our group, including me, ended up taking cold showers. The hotel said the water pressure was low because the equipment was old. They seemed aware that upgrading it would cost a lot, but the issue was left unresolved and guests were stuck with cold showers. After we called the front desk, they did offer to move us or let us use a room on a lower floor with hot water. The room itself had been updated, was fairly clean, and had a reasonable amount of space. Staff were friendly. But the shower gel and shampoo at check-in were clearly leftovers from the previous day's guests.
