Oriental Ginza International Hotel

We chose this hotel in northern Shenyang because it was close to Roicare hospital and reasonably priced. The quality of the rooms and service turned out to be a welcome bonus. The building is on the corner, although Google Maps puts it nearer the middle of the block. Clear signs make it easy to spot. A fancy spa next door keeps the parking area out front busy. The neighborhood is lively, with enough restaurants, shops, and markets to fill several days. Staff were friendly and professional, and used translation apps to communicate with guests who spoke little Chinese. There's a fairly large restaurant on the 19th floor. It was OK, and meals can be bought separately or as part of a room package. Our room was modern and clean, with a sink, refrigerator, electric kettle, and desk. They supplied plenty of complimentary bottled water, and the bed was comfortable. We upgraded to a room with a little day bed overlooking the city. It was nice to have the extra space, though the windows got much colder in winter, so we didn't use that spot much. I'd recommend staying here if you need to be in this area.
