ZTL Hotel Shenzhen

The location is the one thing I liked: the hotel is right opposite food stalls and shopping. Otherwise, we were very disappointed. For almost the same price, our previous hotel had much better service, and I have no other reason to recommend this one. We booked three rooms at ZTL for four nights through booking.com three months in advance. At arrival, staff said one room was missing, then suddenly said they'd found one. Booking.com described rooms with four beds, but the receptionist said there were no four-bed rooms there. They should keep the listing accurate. Housekeeping was poor and unprofessional. Our bed linens weren't changed for multiple nights, and on some nights there were no replacement slippers. They supplied bar soap instead of liquid hand soap, which I personally dislike. One night, the shampoo bottles and others had been left open after refilling. My table was still dirty with crumbs and wrappers, only five crumbs from the night before, so it seemed they hadn't cleaned the table. The housekeepers were curt and unfriendly. When my relative got sick with stomach problems and vomited, she told a housekeeper outside about the illness and mess. We understand vomit is revolting, but the housekeeper made a disgusted face and said she wasn't responsible for our side of the rooms and that we should tell someone else. My relative asked for a towel to clean it herself. If the housekeeper couldn't clean it, she could have said so kindly or helped find the person in charge, without showing disgust.
