Bad weather disrupted my flight, and Shenzhen Airlines put me up at this clean, decent three-star hotel. I couldn't speak Chinese and had no yuan left, only a credit card, so I was pretty lost and didn't know where to find food. I asked reception, and instead of just naming a restaurant, an employee asked me to wait. A few minutes later she brought me a hot menu. Then in the evening, someone knocked on my door and another employee had brought me a hot menu. I really appreciated the thoughtful hospitality from the Airport Hotel staff.

The room was good, and the hotel's free shuttle is handy for people arriving on a late flight. The airport pickup instructions were pretty unclear, though. Once you come out of the airport and go down the escalator, the bus stops in the large public car park. The ride takes nearly 20 minutes, so the hotel isn't especially close to the airport.

I arrived late from Singapore and spent one night here before heading to Mission Hill Golf Resort Dongguan in the morning. The room was spacious and clean, and I slept well. Breakfast and the airport shuttle were included in the price, which was excellent value. I'd happily stay here again if I come this way.

Modern, roomy, and convenient. Shenzhen is easy to reach on a cheap connecting flight or when coming to guangzhou, and this is one of the best airports I've visited.

For $32 USD, I got breakfast and an airport shuttle bus that seemed to run every 30 minutes. The hotel looked like a five-star place. I stayed on 26/8/2015, and again December 15-16, 2017.
