Civil Aviation Hotel

The lobby, room, bed, self-service laundry, public bathroom, and staff were all great. A few things let it down: several towels in my room smelled unclean, the tea in the lobby was lukewarm, and the covering inside the shower seemed to affect the smell there.

Even after I asked to move rooms, I could still smell cigarette smoke. The room was old and in very bad shape. I won't stay here again. Shenzhen Airlines provides terrible accommodations.

I got a free night's accommodation because I had a connecting flight with Shenzhen Airlines the next day. Although they said I might share the room, I ended up having it to myself the whole stay. The hotel served free dinner and breakfast in a packet in my room, and both the airline and hotel provided free pickup and drop-off. The main drawback was how far it was from the metro. It would've been much better if a station were just a few hundred meters away.

Shenzhen Airlines brings passengers here when their delays cause them to miss a connection, and then you may have to share a room with a stranger. They serve the food in the room instead of the hotel restaurant. If you're delayed at 11 pm and your next flight isn't until 11 pm the following day, you can spend extra at the hotel for amenities or wait it out in a room with a stranger. Either way, I don't think you can sleep, since the rooms don't seem soundproof.
