We stayed at Residence G for the second leg of our China trip, and it was wonderful compared with the hotel we had in Guangzhou. The location is fantastic, less than a five-minute walk from Nan You West metro station, and the facilities are great, with a clean pool and gym. Honestly, I can’t find anything to complain about. The room cleaning staff were thorough and attentive. At the front desk, Yami, Niki and Nana were warm and helpful throughout our stay. We’ll definitely be back. Review as of June 2026.

A terrible situation. Be very careful if you’re planning to pay with an overseas credit card. The hotel asked for a card without a passcode, otherwise the option was cash in RMB. After wasting two hours, I went to a global chain and had no trouble using my overseas C Card. This hotel caters to Chinese clients.

There are plenty of restaurants within walking distance, and the hotel is well placed for shopping at nearby wholesale clothing shops, with a subway station next door. The spacious property has a full range of recreational facilities, including the rarely seen children’s playroom and a dance room with full mirrors.
