Hyatt House Shenzhen Airport

At the breakfast buffet on 22 September 2025, Nancy, the breakfast chef at Hyatt House Shenzhen Airport, was so bubbly and good-spirited. She noticed I was struggling to pick up a liu sha bao with my hands full and kindly helped me. It brought a smile and was a lovely start to a long day. Thank you for a good experience!

I only stayed one night, flying in and out for work, and the room’s practical layout suited that kind of trip. It felt more like a serviced apartment than the Hyatt hotels I expected: there was a kitchenette, living area, dining space, and bedroom, neatly separated by a flipable flatscreen TV wall. The bench top doubled as both dining table and office, which explains the unusual office and kitchen stool chair design. The shower was enormous, honestly could fit 10 people in there haha! Check-in was slow, there were limited international channels, and there was no luggage assistance. I had expected more from Hyatt, though this seemed to be a different kind of property.

The hotel worked really well for early flights from Shenzhen Bao'an International Airport, and the rooms stayed quiet despite the airport setting. I stayed twice in 2017, both times in a "Studio Kitchen King" room, which was clean, roomy, and comfortable. The lobby, bar, restaurant, pool, and fitness room were clean too, and the staff were friendly. Getting to the airport by subway, ferry, or express bus may be easier than taking a taxi. Our driver didn’t seem to know where to drop us.

Getting to the departure counters was easy, and there’s a McDonald's and KFC within walking distance inside the airport. The room was nice, though it had a shower and no bathtub. English was limited, but as a visitor, that’s on me.
