Modena By Freser Shenzhen

The staff were attentive and helpful. The front desk team did what they could, including helping my mum order a few items from Taobao, which was really handy. The location is near Huangbeling subway station, about 2 stops from Luohu one way or Grand Theatre, a bigger interchange, the other way. There aren't many shops close by, apart from a corporate office coffee bar, the local residential market, and cafes. We booked a 2 bed 2 bath room. It was a decent size, but the bathtub with overhead shower is poorly designed. Water pooled around the sides and leaked onto the floor, so we put bath towels in the gaps to try to stop it. The apart-hotel has a mini kitchen and washer/dryer, but no cutlery or washing detergent, which we found bizarre. The windows aren't soundproof, so we could hear cars beeping at night because the building is near a highway. On our second stay, the second bathroom was by the front door, quite a distance from the bedrooms, making a middle-of-the-night trip to the toilet annoying. The air conditioner in one bedroom also didn't work. The hotel engineer couldn't fix it, so the front desk lent us 2 fans.

What stood out most was how quickly the team helped after checkout. I realized I'd left something important behind, contacted the hotel, and they acted immediately. The item was couriered to my home in Singapore the very next day. Their communication was prompt, and they seemed genuinely willing to help. I'm deeply grateful to the staff for the outstanding service. The apartment at Modena by Fraser Shenzhen was very new, clean, and comfortable. The location isn't the best, with not much downstairs, but Huang Beiling is a 5-10 minute walk away and has plenty of eateries, restaurants, massage, and a supermarket. From beginning to end, I had an excellent stay. Modena by Fraser Shenzhen exceeded my expectations, and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Shenzhen. I've already booked the same apartment for my next visit in Feb.

The robots were a real highlight, delivering meals and housekeeping items and keeping us entertained. We had a problem with the air conditioning in our bedroom and couldn't sleep despite trying to put up with it. The staff reacted right away and arranged an upgrade to a larger room at no extra cost. They were personable and professional throughout, and no request seemed like too much trouble. We can't name individual staff, but we're sincerely grateful to everyone who helped make the stay so enjoyable. We'd had a wonderful stay at Fraser Suites in Chengdu before, so were thrilled to find Modena by Fraser Shenzhen for our August visit. We weren't disappointed. The rooms are delightful, with modern, high quality furnishings and luxurious comfort. Though there is no restaurant in the hotel, we ordered meals and found a parade of excellent restaurants about a 20-minute taxi ride away. We also used the kitchen in our room and just asked housekeeping for extra cooking utensils. We can't recommend Modena enough and hope they keep up their outstanding service as they welcome more guests. We hope to return!
