Orange Hotel (Shenzhen Futian Convention and Exhibition Center)

It’s a low-cost business hotel with ordinary service and limited service for foreign guests.

The staff were really friendly and helpful, and I’d definitely stay here again. It seems best suited to business travelers. The hotel is easy to reach, near Exit E of Gangxia Metro Station on Line 1, and just one stop from the Convention and Exhibition Center. Zhuoyue Shopping Center and Huangting Shopping Center are right outside the station, about a 15-minute walk away. There are also lots of restaurants, convenience stores, supermarkets, beauty salons, and hair salons nearby. The lobby has a shoe-shining machine and free newspapers, plus a sightseeing elevator. The lobby feels a little traditional, but the rooms seem to have had a major renovation and are very clean and new. I stayed in an executive floor room with a bathtub, bidet, toiletries, and an electronic scale. The bidet had strong water pressure and drained quickly. The bedding and pillows were clean, comfortable, and made from good quality materials. There’s a reasonably sized gym with fairly new equipment. Breakfast is a Chinese buffet, though the selection is limited, mostly congee, noodles, rice, and bread. My room looked out onto the street. You have to pay a deposit at check-in, which is refunded when you check out. Birthday bookings include complimentary fresh fruit.

The location is convenient, near Excellence Avenue and Royal Plaza. Room prices are reasonable, so it feels like good value for money.
