The rooms and hotel itself are beautiful, clean, spacious, modern, and well decorated. The gym has excellent equipment, including weights and a squat rack. I also thought the restaurants and food choices were quite good. The location is pretty good, especially if you're coming from Hong Kong. Despite all that, I don't think I'll return, since there are other hotels to try in Shenzhen. We had requested connecting rooms when we booked. At check-in, the receptionist said they'd arrange it, so we waited at least 30 minutes in the lobby. When we finally got one room, it wasn't connecting at all. We asked again and were told none were available, which left me wondering what we'd been waiting for. There were too few receptionists, and lines for check-in and checkout were common. At checkout, I asked for a receipt to make sure the bill was right, but the staff seemed to want me to wait for an email. I don't find that professional, since billing questions are better handled in person. Getting in touch by email was also tricky, and replies came from QQ email addresses that didn't seem professional.

Our sea-view suite had gorgeous vistas, and the spacious room was thoughtfully designed. The frosted glass could be switched, so I could relax in the bath while watching the big TV in the living area. The butlers, Kathryn, Maddy, and Camilla, took meticulous care of us, arranging dining and setting up a luxurious bubble bath in the room. Curtis, the service attendant, was impeccably polite and attentive, helping with our luggage and making sure we were comfortable while waiting for the shuttle. A top-tier luxury stay with excellent service.

The view over Shenzhen from the restaurant upstairs is spectacular. The food was innovative and excellent, a rare combination, and the service was flawless. Highly recommend.

I stayed at Raffles Hotel twice recently and had a wonderful time both visits. The rooms were fantastic, and the staff were so friendly and attentive. We enjoyed the butler service, and the concierge was a great help, bringing our shopping bags up every time we returned. Each evening there was a tonic drink in our room, a lovely touch. Crystal in the breakfast area gave us great service and chatted with us, and the crew at the Long Bar were great too. I'll definitely be back when I visit Shenzhen again.
