Fuzon hotel in shekou, near shuiwan metro station, has been closed since April 2021. The entire building is shut, including the ground-floor restaurants and bar. Before the pandemic it was a decent, busy hotel for locals and foreigners alike. After June 2020 it served as a quarantine hotel for people arriving at baoan international airport. A few months before the closure, some issues arose, and the final decision was to be made after the legal procedures. It's about 300 meters from sea World, with a metro station around 100 meters away and the main bus terminal in shekou just 50 meters across. Three indian restaurants remain active within 500 meters, and there are many international cuisines available. Rooms were good enough for the price, but this wasn't a luxury place. It once hosted many service engineers for the yiulian shipyard. A hongkong restaurant with a pool table is in the basement. Nearby hotel options include Hilton, Frazer place, ming hua, and the newer Aden and Honlux. The hotel is in one of the top tourist locations.

The hotel is conveniently placed for getting around, close to the metro and with some pretty decent restaurants nearby. My room's air conditioner stopped working, and the wallpaper was torn. I also wasn't impressed by the hotel's restaurant.

The hotel was peaceful and well located, with very clean rooms laid out nicely. Staff spoke English and were polite and helpful. Breakfast wasn't the best I've had, though they did serve real coffee.
