I've kept coming back to Kai Li hotel for over a decade because it covers what I need. It's a 3 star hotel in a well-connected part of Luohu, an easy walk from Guomao Metro Station. The staff are friendly, and the rooms are bigger than at newer hotels. Golden SPA is a luxurious spa with a discount for hotel guests. There are plenty of malls, bars, restaurants, coffee shops, places to browse, massage parlors, and a nearby Indian restaurant.

The receptionists were nice, and there was free water in the room. Still, the peeling wallpaper, dirty room, and windowless double bed room weren't what I expected from the booking pictures. For the price, I suppose it was okay, but I stayed just one night instead of the seven I'd planned. I wouldn't go back or recommend it.

The room I had was comfortable and clean: the bed was comfortable, the carpet was clean, the TV channels came through clearly, and the bathroom was tidy and free of mold. The furniture was old, though, and the exterior looks a little dated. I think they may have refurbished it recently. There's a spa attached that runs 24 hours. The price is very reasonable for this busy central area, with GUOMAO exit B less than a five-minute walk away. There are eateries all around and a shopping mall next door. I walked about 20 minutes to DONG MEN, packed with shops and great food.

Whenever I visit Shen, this is the only hotel I stay at. It's just 2 minutes from Guo Mao Station, and the rooms are huge and clean. The staff are friendly too.

There's good food and massage around the area, and the hotel itself is nice. I didn't find the hotel's massage very good unless you plan to spend the whole night there.
