At night, this can be a pleasant place to meet up, and there are several cuisines to choose from. You’ll find restaurants and grab-and-go spots around the center, though prices are high and most restaurants feel fancy. For souvenirs, I don’t think it’s very tourist friendly, since you can find better value elsewhere. The large cruise-like ship is worth exploring, though. I loved it, and thought it showed the art nouveau style really well. Don’t miss the vivo experience center. There’s more inside than just technology.

We stopped here briefly on our group tour and only had time to look around outside. It’s worth exploring for at least a day, and I imagine it gets lively at night.

Shekou has a great dining scene, with lots of places serving different cuisines. The prices aren’t too bad for an area that feels pretty premium. I also liked the views of the buildings and their varied architecture. I’d recommend it for a nice meal in Shenzhen.

The renovated ship in the center looks great, and the lights and water show add to the evening atmosphere. It’s a great place to walk around, grab some food, and visit the restaurants and bars. A must-see if you’re in Shenzhen.
