Shenzhen Sichuan Hotel

The only real plus for me was getting around easily, with Tung Sin Ling MRT station right beside the hotel. Inside the room it was very clean, though the lighting was dim and the air conditioning was noisy. One of my companions had their unit break down completely. Outside the room, the lobby and restaurant floors, especially the uncarpeted parts, felt greasy and sticky underfoot. I found that really unpleasant. The second-floor toilets were also poorly maintained. The men's restroom often had urine puddles left sitting on the floor for a long time. Elevator repairs were a problem too. Half the elevators were out of service at once instead of being replaced in stages, leaving just two to serve everyone, including the freight elevator. At busy times, the wait was almost unbearable. The breakfast and lunch choices were limited, and I was bored with them after a couple of days. I would have switched hotels straight away if the organizers hadn't booked my stay.
