Shenzhen Star Park Hotel

The gym is excellent and the location is good, but those points don't make up for the problems here. The AC is very inefficient: it can take 5-6 hours for the room to cool to a decent temperature. When we leave, it switches off, and when we come back we have to turn it on manually. Otherwise, it won't start. Noise from neighboring rooms kept disturbing our sleep because the rooms aren't soundproofed. The bath water also doesn't get hot enough for people who like a hot bath, staying below 40degC. Breakfast is almost entirely Chinese, apart from the fruit, so it needs more continental choices. It was difficult to explain problems because staff didn't understand even basic English. They weren't rude, but didn't seem to care or attend to guests, and should be trained in customer service. Management should address these issues promptly.
