Sheraton Shenzhen Futian Hotel

The beds were among the most comfortable I've ever slept in, and the bedding was clean with purified air. Soundproofing was excellent, and even the elevator ran quietly and smoothly, with nice attention to detail. I do wish the toilet seats were heated, like at other five-star chains. If you're here for business, paying extra for dining on the property can save a lot of time.

The Executive Lounge team at the Sheraton Hotel worked professionally and smoothly. Mr. Yale Wang stood out in particular. He let us know when the lighting show and food service were happening, and he was friendly and thoughtful with international guests. His English was excellent, and his kindness left a strong impression on me. If I come back to Shenzhen, I'll choose the Sheraton again.

Staff were quick to offer us another room when the first one had an old, musty smell that wouldn't go away. I appreciated their service. The hotel has two wings, and ours seemed older and had a Chinese-style interior, which surprised me for a Sheraton. It's quite central, near the convention centre, with plenty of good food and a mall within walking distance. The metro is accessible through an underground walkway that's a bit confusing. The location is very convenient, but the room quality feels overpriced. I think there are other options in the same price range.

Getting around is easy: take the lift to the ground floor and you're connected to the subway station and several malls. The One Avenue is a nice mall with lots of restaurants. We stayed on the club level and could use the lounge. The hotel is a bit dated, though the toilets look new, which matters to me. Breakfast was okay for variety at first, but after two days it got boring. The selection and servings were both small, and they didn't seem to refill items even with about two hours of service time left. Some dim sum seemed to be from the day before and reheated. That's not acceptable.
