The serviced apartment is in a convenient spot, with the metro right underground. A private transfer car can get you to customs in about 10 minutes when heading over to Hong Kong. My room felt new, clean, and spacious, and the air conditioning was powerful. I liked the Japanese-style toilet bidet, bathtub, and washer-dryer too. A special thanks to the front desk staff member who helped me make a WeChat payment to a delivery person, since I couldn't do it as a foreigner. There were a couple of hiccups, but she patiently communicated with the recipient until they were sorted out. She was a young woman on duty at about 9:45am on 21 May 2026. I wish I'd asked her name.

There aren't attractions close by, so getting to Shenzhen sights or shopping means taking a Didi. Still, the apartment itself was a good stay. The Ascott is modern, clean, and fairly new, in the south-western part of Shenzhen. There's a playroom, gym, and breakfast. The pool was being renovated while I was there. The room was well soundproofed, with big comfortable beds and meticulous housekeeping. It also had a 2-in-1 washer-dryer and a bathtub, and the shower water pressure was great. Highly recommended!

It's in a newly developed area, not far from Shenzhen Bay Port, and getting to the airport is convenient via the Yanjiang Expressway. The facilities are excellent and the air conditioning is superb. The security guards could use better training. When I asked them to buy bottled water, they didn't even know there was a convenience store across the street.
