The Langham Shenzhen

I've come back to this hotel several times, and the service has been especially memorable. For my 50th wedding anniversary, they decorated both my room and dining table with flowers and treats. Vicky, the manager in Tang Court, Cora, the front desk manager, Cynthia Lee, the Guest Relations Manager, and Woody Wu at the Concierge Desk all gave me outstanding care. They made me feel like a VIP, and because of them I'll stay at the Langham whenever I'm in Shenzhen. Thank you all, that was the best service.

We've stayed at The Langham, Shenzhen twice during the holidays, our family of four spending several days in the same room each time. With children aged 3 and 5, it was an easy choice. The location is convenient and there are lots of places to eat close by. There's even a little Go-Kart track in the underground mall next door. I'm usually not keen on hotel food, but the breakfast buffet was hard to beat. There was enough good food from different cuisines that our kids had no trouble finding things they liked. What made the trips feel so settled was the staff. Lucas, Ismael, and Michael were so helpful and friendly. Seeing and talking with them every day made the Langham feel like a home away from home. I don't usually write reviews, but those three deserved a mention.

Breakfast was a real highlight for us as ovo lacto vegetarians. They changed some of the food choices from day to day, and I loved the millet porridge with steamed Chinese yam and the steamed rice roll. We had a lovely three-night stay. The room was large, very clean, and had all the essentials plus nice touches like dimmer lights and a charging workstation. The staff, from the front office and concierge to housekeeping and the restaurant, were warm, energetic, and eager to help. Mike from conceirge really stood out. He suggested places for us to visit, helped us get a cab, and was cheerful every time we saw him. The location was convenient, with about a 10-minute stroll to the nearest station. It's a gem, and Langham hotel would be my first choice if I return to Shenzhen. I'd come back in a jiffy.

My stay at @thelanghamshenzhen was way too short, and now that I'm leaving I'll miss the people here. The staff really put their hearts into serving guests. I loved everything, though I'm not used to such a high-tech room. I finally got the hang of it just as it was time to go. I made a small sketch to thank the people who don't always get noticed: the pink car for the concierge, the tea set for F&B, the pool and pavilion with angels for fitness and spa since I went to the gym every day, and the building for management.
