The hotel is a handy base in Futian CBD, with key areas and attractions around Shenzhen easy to reach. Getting across the city felt straightforward, and we didn't lose much time to traffic. Shenzhen has that futuristic feel, with its modern skyline, efficient transport, and lively energy, and the hotel fits right in. What stood out most was how comfortable and well kept the place felt. The property is spacious and organized, from the welcoming lobby to the clean common areas. Check-in went smoothly, and the staff were polite and efficient. My room was spotless, thoughtfully laid out, and comfortable, with a cozy bed and a bright, clean bathroom. Housekeeping kept it fresh and tidy every day, which mattered a lot to me. It felt professionally run throughout, with comfortable rooms, good service, and a convenient location. The stay was easy and hassle-free, and the price felt like good value. I'd happily come back to UrCove by HYATT Futian CBD next time I'm in Shenzhen.

The location is nearly attached to Futian Highspeed Rail station, and the room was spacious. We appreciated the upgrade at check-in and the free laundry too. The large LG washers and dryers worked well. Still, there isn't much else I can praise about the hotel. The worst part was how the staff handled our son's baby pillow, which was a different colour from the hotel pillows. They mistakenly put it into the laundry system, which I can understand, but two hours wasn't enough for them to locate it, so we had to check out. The next day they said shipping it back to Singapore would cost too much and offered cash instead. I explained that it had sentimental value and that the item cost more than shipping from SZ to SG, but they never replied. I also emailed the Hyatt group and haven't heard back. Don't expect Hyatt-level service here. The room had problems too. Water leaked out of the shower into the shared area, and my son slipped and fell. The floor was beginning to peel, which I suspect may be related. There were no sheer blinds, so the choices were being exposed to the outside or sitting in complete darkness. Foam insulation was visible around the blind fixture, giving it a shoddy, cut-corner feel. The AC was as bad as other reviewers have said. At an ambient 24c, setting it to cool at 24c turned it off even on manual fan, so I had to lower it to 22c and then froze. The next day, when it was 21c outside, I set it to heat at 24c, but it blew cold air all night and the thermostat showed 20c. While walking to the laundry room, I passed rooms that smelled of cigarettes. I don't know how strictly they enforce the smoking rules, so getting a clean room seems to depend on luck.

Dinner was pricey, but the food was excellent and the restaurant had a gorgeous view. The hotel itself was very good and had plenty of space. Only real drawback I noticed was how dusty the door gets.

The Futian business district location means you'll need transport to get to Shenzhen's malls or supermarkets. There's a Family Mart and coffee shops on the ground floor, though they may not cover everything tourists need. The staff were consistently friendly, greeting us with smiles, and the room was roomy with a tidy-looking bed and toilet. But it smelled bad when we first walked in, perhaps from mold or smoking, and the odor stayed until the next day. The temperature also seemed fixed, since we couldn't set the AC below 24 degrees Celsius and could only increase the fan speed. Sound insulation wasn't great either. I could hear other people chatting in the early morning.
