Crowne Plaza Suzhou East Taihu by IHG

The room wasn’t large, but it was the cleanest I’ve had on a business trip so far. Even newer places in other regions were dirtier than I expected. The location is hard to call good or bad, and I was very satisfied despite my short stay. There’s no Korean-speaking staff, but the dedicated manager mostly communicates through WeChat and tries to sort out whatever they can. Nearby shopping is a little disappointing: only three major malls are within walking distance. There are restaurants in the alleys, but they’re hard to reach, apart from one Korean restaurant. Soundproofing also seemed weaker than expected. I could clearly hear the bathtub running in the next room, a door opening and closing across the hall while I was in the bathroom, and people talking in the hallway. Near the window, I could barely hear anything. For a business trip, the minibar was another letdown. It barely cooled anything. Even after several days, water and drinks stayed lukewarm, at most slightly chilled.

I stayed here for a long time on business and had no issues. The staff are friendly, the rooms are in excellent condition, and the food is always fresh. Best hotel in Suzhou! 👍🏻✨

The rooms and gym may feel a little small, but the food is delicious and there’s a good variety. It’s a four-star hotel, yet the service is incredibly good. The staff are friendly, and the rooms are in excellent condition. ^^

The shopping options nearby are a bit limited, which was disappointing. Still, the staff were so friendly and nice that I’d definitely stay here again if I return to Suzhou.
