The hotel is comfortable and has large rooms, good linen and toiletries, the usual amenities, and a nice view. Breakfast is included, with Chinese and Western choices. It’s nothing special, but it’s decent. You can also use the indoor pool, gym, and rental bikes. There’s a Chinese restaurant, though I didn’t try it, and room service runs until 11 pm. The food I ordered wasn’t very good. The property is showing its age, and service could be better. Hardly anyone on staff speaks English, so I needed my phone translator even to order room service. A large mall, restaurants, bars, and cafes are all within walking distance. A decent place to stay in the city.

I had a comfortable stay in Taicang. The room was spacious and had all the amenities, and the breakfast was delicious. The key card is a little old, though, and sometimes took extra effort to open the door.

I’ve stayed here more than ten times and expect I’ll be back at least that many times again. The rooms are quiet, clean, and spacious, with big comfortable beds and a great shower. As far as I know, it’s the only international-standard hotel in Taicang, so it’s the only one I recommend to international visitors.

I went to the hotel to ask about one of its restaurants because my colleagues and I wanted to have brunch there. At the front desk, I asked ALAN, the FB supervisor, a simple question. He rudely waved me away and said the restaurant was closed without even listening to what I was asking. I felt he judged me because of my skin color. I told ALAN not to judge people by their appearance and that he needed more customer service training. His attitude was very poor, and I didn’t appreciate how rude he was. Please treat every customer with respect and don’t judge people.
