At night the rooms are quiet, with good soundproofing, and they're spacious and comfortable. Floor-to-ceiling windows let in plenty of light, and there is a two-seat sofa and desk in each room. The hotel is low-rise, with two buildings, plus a separate three-story conference hall that used to host government meetings. The former Zhongyou Hotel has been renovated, with a lovely garden and plenty of parking. Breakfast is a highlight, with a good range of Chinese and Western food, authentic Suzhou dishes, and very good service. The hotel is in Huqiu District, conveniently close to Suzhou High-Speed ​​Railway Station. Shantang Street is nearby, and the city's gardens and temples, including Lion Grove Garden, Humble Administrator's Garden, Xiyuan Temple, Tiger Hill, Lingering Garden, and Hanshan Temple, are easy to reach by taxi. Ren'anchang Road, a market street, is just to the left of the entrance. There are plenty of places to eat there if you don't want hotel breakfast, and in autumn you can buy hairy crabs at the local market. Across from the hotel are two small restaurants with reasonable prices and decent food.
