The executive lounge had a lovely view, and the team there was friendly and remembered us. Our room was very spacious, breakfast was okay, and reception staff could speak English. The hotel is near a subway station and within walking distance of Suzhou Center Plaza, the iconic “trousers” building. There’s also a self-service laundry room. You need to buy tokens at reception for a small fee, though they kindly gave us laundry capsules since we only had one load. Marriott Bonvoy members can get 100 points for declining room cleaning. The points appeared in my account about seven days after checkout. We enjoyed our stay.

The rooms were spacious and comfortable, and the staff made us feel welcome. Courtyard by Marriott is also conveniently placed near the city’s main attractions and sightseeing areas, so getting around was easy. I really enjoyed my stay and the service, and I’ll definitely come back.

The location worked well for me, just minutes from the international exposition center and some world-class shopping. My room was modern, with international voltage and outlets, and the service was consistently friendly. Staff spoke English, so communication wasn’t a problem. The restaurant was good, though nothing extraordinary.

Henry made getting around Suzhou for work easy. He handled our travel needs, stayed available on WeChat at any time, and made sure we had a ride whenever we needed one. Coming back after a long workday to the Marriott Suzhou staff’s smiling faces was a nice lift. The breakfast was very good, and the gym was the best I’ve seen in a hotel. An amazing stay.

The staff at the Courtyard, especially Harold, always go out of their way to make sure you’re happy. I keep having a great stay here, and the breakfast is one of the best for travellers.
