Walking into the room, I noticed how lovely it smelled. The crisp white bedding and plush towels could rival those at any five-star chain. This is the best-presented Holiday Inn I've stayed at: clean, cozy, and welcoming, like a warm hug. Well done to the management.

We didn't have a good experience here. Construction next to the hotel continued until midnight and disturbed us when we were trying to sleep. The shower flow was very weak, and turning it up made the water too hot, so taking a shower took a while. We complained, but the staff didn't respond nicely. They said the construction would finish at 10 p.m., but it was still going at midnight. When I asked to move rooms, they said we could, but only to a room with twin beds, not a king bed. My husband and I didn't want that, so we had to stay in the room.

It's quite a way from downtown Suzhou, but there's a metro station right outside. The breakfast is really, really good!

We had a very comfortable stay. The beds are wide, the sheets and pillows are lovely and soft, and the atmosphere is nice. It's a beautiful hotel with very professional service.
