There were several restaurants nearby that stayed open late, and I got a ride to the subway station on my way back. I couldn’t use my VISA card, either because I didn’t know how to operate it or because it wasn’t supported. The inn is lovely and gives you a feel for history, though it’s in a very hard-to-reach spot. The Qing Dynasty building has had only minimal renovations, which leaves it with a lot of character. The surrounding town is sparsely populated and doesn’t seem to have developed much as a tourist destination, but it’s a good size for a half-day walk. You can also rent bikes to explore the neighboring villages.
