The staff were kind, and I found the hotel welcoming as a Japanese guest who wasn't used to China. Wi-Fi was free, though I had to ask the front desk for a portable unit, which they brought up to my room. At breakfast, they made wontons and noodles in front of me; the flavor changed a little depending on who was cooking. My room also had Japanese TV, although the channels seemed to differ from room to room, which was funny. When I came back in March 2018, Japanese TV was no longer available in my room. I didn't need Wi-Fi anymore either.

It's passable, but a bit dirty. The non-smoking room on the fifth floor had very old equipment. I'd recommend a smoking room on the third or fourth floor instead.
