[June 2012] The corporate discount made this luxury hotel surprisingly affordable. The room and the rest of the hotel were excellent too. Along with the shower, there was a bathtub with a view outside. From my room the next morning, I could see Suzhou Sports Center Gymnasium, and the view was good.

We stayed here for a friend's wedding, and the staff were consistently friendly and helpful. The buffet breakfast had a great selection, while the rooms were luxurious and exceptionally spacious despite the hotel's older charm.

The rooms felt modern, and they were nice, clean, and spacious. Breakfast had lots of options.

The hotel is a bit outside town, and the metro connection isn't good, though it isn't built yet despite what the map shows. A taxi can get you to the city center in 10-15 minutes. The rooms are well equipped, but the decor feels a little dated. It has the amenities you'd expect at a five-star hotel, and the service is good. There are also western staff at the concierge. Hotels east of the city center would have been better located, but they were all booked when we visited.

The room has plenty of space, with a bath and a separate shower. It wasn't especially clean, though it was okay, and the bed was medium-firm with nice firm pillows. Breakfast has lots of options in a large restaurant. The location isn't anything special, but that seems to be true of the whole area. There's no balcony, the windows don't open, and adjusting the air conditioning is difficult.
