Stay in joy Tongyintang Tongli

The location shown on Google Maps was wrong when I wrote this. Baidu Maps had it right, southwest of the marker, where Google shows Xidai street. You also have to pay admission to the water town to stay here, though you'll probably want to visit the beautiful town anyway. The walls are thin, so I could clearly hear things outside and the pipes. The hotel itself is beautiful, tucked away in a serene spot close to the tourist areas, and felt very personal. The woman who runs it adds thoughtful touches, like candies when you arrive and a soothing soup ready after dinner. Just keep in mind that the Google photos cover the whole hotel chain, so some won't match this property.
